Yurchenko S. Breeding value of spring soft wheat cultivars as to economic traits in the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine

Subject: regularities of economical valuable traits display of spring bread wheat cultivars. Aim: to determine especialities of economical valuable traits display of spring bread cultivars and determine valuable origins for effectivity increasing breeding for productivity, seed quality, resistance to damping and preheavisting sproufings. Methods: field, laboratory, biometrical statistics. Novelty: it is determined breeding valuability of different bread wheat cultivars, as initial materials for breeding by determination of display regularity and variability complex of technological-biochemical quality grain traits, yield and their structural elements, resistance to damping depending to meteorological conditions during growing; it is proposed complex estimation of the fest cultivars by valuable traits and proposed selution of parents forms by claster analysis method. Results: with help of claster analysis is selected the best genotypes by complex of economic valuable traits, which are essentially differented by Evklide distance and recommended for hybridization between it selnes for increasing variability and hybride generation, which gives opportunity for selection of new forms. On the base of carried on investigation is selected new origines of high grain qualities, yield, resistance to damping and preheavisting sprouting with constant display in contrast growing conditions. Application stage: selected origines by economical valuable traits is used in breeding programs MIW n.a. V.M. Remesla and Ustimivska ESP of PPI n.a. V.Ya. Yuriev. Application area: breeding institutions, AIC of Ukraine.
