The paper first deals with integral problem analysis of the control of educational achievement of the schoolboys at educational establishments of Ukraine in the second half of the XIX-th century. The paper reveals the development of a problem of the control in a context of secondary education reforming in Ukraine in the researched period; the organization of the control of pupil's educational achievements of secondary educational institutions as urgent didactical problem is covered; stages and features of organization of the control, specificity of conceptual-categorical device of a problem of the control in the researched period is established; the ways of creative use acquired by the Ukrainian pedagogical theory and practice experience of organization of the control of pupil's educational achievement in modern conditions are drawn.
