Bondar N. Activities of Ukrainian political parties in Kharkiv region during the Revolution and Civil War period (1917 to 1921)

The object of study – activities of Ukrainian political parties during the Revolution and Civil War period. The purpose of study is study of activities of Ukrainian political parties in Kharkiv region, their programs, tasks and features of activities in different political circumstances of 1917-1921. The methods: analysis, synthesis, problem-chronological, comparative-historical. The practical value of the work: the materials of dissertation research can be used by preparation of generalizing works on a history of Ukraine, textbooks and manuals on a history of political movement, historical local-lore, and also in job of historical and local-lore circles. This thesis investigates problems of activities of organizations of Ukrainian political parties that took place in Kharkiv region during the Revolution and Civil War period. Various trends in activities of Ukrainian political forces in Kharkiv region are described in the thesis, and their achievements and mistakes are analyzed. Based on numerous published documents, archival records and periodical publications, the problems of formation and development of Ukrainian political movements in Kharkiv Province in 1917 to 1921 are considered, and certain aspects of Ukrainian political parties activities are analyzed in connection with specific character of the region. The role played by local organizations of Ukrainian political parties in the events that took place in the region during that period is described along with the impact of such political organizations on the people and political situation in the city.
