Bezeha T. Institutional and Sectoral Problems of Ukrainian Economy During 1991-2007 (on the example of privatization and energy)

The dissertation deals with the process of the market economy’s formation and development during 1991-2007. Those complex process has been started during period of Perestroika, and have been activated after the declaration of Ukraine’s independence. Substantial attention is paid to the issues of the new economic order formation, to the appearance and development of Ukrainian “oligarchic capitalism”, and also to so named Ukrainian “economic miracle”. Starting from the moment of Ukraine’s independence declaration in 1991, the economic problems have gained a big importance. If before Ukraine was never the subject of economy that was functioning on its territory, starting from the moment of the gaining of the own state, it have been forced to solve the huge task of the formation of the independent economic system on the ruins of the former powerful empire. Ukraine has started the process of economic reforms in the conditions of system crisis.
