Essay

The object of the research - monument of material and spiritual culture of Zaporozhye Cossacks on the territory of Southern Ukraine. Methods - the problem and chronology, historical and genetic, historical and typology, historical and comparative. The classification of memorials peculiar to Prydniprovye has been done. Similar and different features of burial constructions of Cossack period of different regions of Ukraine have been determined. Zaporozhye churches and monasteries preserved up to nowadays or destroyed due to some reasons have been studied separately. Peculiarities of religious outlook of zaporozhians have been highlighted, their burial ceremony has been reconstructed.
