Essay

The thesis is an attempt to investigate the history of ethnology thought and ethnology in Slovakia. The athutor in historic - retrospective form observes the process of Slovak ethnology science's formation, examines the main direсtions of its modern development, trying to contemplate the perspectives and tendensies of future sience's steps. This investigation has the analysis of science, educational and publishing activity of the main science organisations, studying of the some persons' activity, comparative schools - history and modern ethnology science's position in neighbour countries. The work is the result of historiographyc investigations, which the author made in 2003-2007.
