The object - the process of professional training of prospective teachers of Music in higher educational institutions; the aim - to theoretically substantiate and experimentally check pedagogical conditions of forming creative imagination of prospective teachers of Music; the methods - theoretical, empiric, of mathematic statistics; the novelty - the essence of creative imagination of prospective teachers of Music has been defined, the functions of creative imagination of teachers of Music are revealed, pedagogical conditions of forming creative imagination of students are sudstantiated and experimentally checked, criteria and indices of the levels of creative imagination formation are specified; the results - the researched conditions of forming creative imagination of students have been experimentally incorporated into the process of training teachers, teaching manual "Forming Creative Imagination in Prospective Teachers of Music" has been published.
