The object of the research – society as a form and a method of human life. The research purpose consists in realization of socially-philosophical analysis of social capital as the social phenomenon, that is predetermined by objective and subjective factors and is found various displays in vital functions of society. Research methods - objectivity and historical method, unity of social theory and practice, development and interconnection. Theoretical results and novelty - the stages of development of social capital phenomenon are first fixed; socially-philosophical concept "social capital" is defined more precisely;becoming specificity and developing tendencies are determined. Practical results and novelty - the results may be used in activities of public organizations and political parties to promote their social capital. The object and the degree of introduction - developing tendences of social capital in society are determined. The efficiency of introduction is subsequent scientific development oftheoretical bases of research of phenomenon of social capital. The sphere of the use is an educational process.
