Popova O. The museum work development in Kharkiv government (1864-1917)

The object of study – the museum work development in Kharkiv region in ХІХ - in beginning of ХХ century. The purpose of study is complex study of a history of the basis and activity of museums of Kharkiv region in second half ХІХ - in the beginning ХХ century, analysis of their scientific and practical activity. The methods: comparative-historical, problem-chronological. The practical value of the work: the materials of the dissertation can be used in scientific researches on museum study, art study, history, history of pedagogic and history of culture of Ukraine; by preparation of lectures; realization of thematic seminars; a spelling of the high school and school textbooks. The received results can be used by the museum workers for preparation of materials of excursions, and also travel agencies for development of routes. Dissertation is a complex research of the museum work development in Kharkiv government in 1864-1917. The scientific elaboration of the problem is studied, history source complex isanalyzed. It researches zemsky three directions of work in foundation and next activities of Ukrainian museums. The scientific work and practical work are investigated. The dissertation analyzes pre-conditions, foundation and work of main Kharkiv government museums. The role in museum activities spreading of Kharkiv University, Kharkiv historical and philological society, the society of the people literacy propagation, Kharkiv church archaeological society and the government zemstvo is studied.
