Pushak K. Pharmacoeconomic research of medicines for contraception and treatment of climacteric disorders of women

Objects – information about contraceptives and medicines for treatment of climacteric disorders of women, gynaecological morbidity rate of women in fertile, menopausal and postmenopausal periods, indexes of demand and consumption of contraceptives and medicines for treatment of climacteric disorders, treatment regimens, information of evidence-based medicine and information about side-effects of medicines from the State Pharmacological Center of Ministry of Health of Ukraine; aim – to substantiate and develop the methods of pharmacoeconomic analysis of contraceptives and medicines for treatment of climacteric disorders, suitable informative constituent for optimization of women’s medicinal provision in Ukraine; methods – systematic, marketing, pharmacoeconomic analysis, methods of informatics, interviewing, expert estimation, mathematical modelling, computer programming; novelty – the algorithm and the methods of pharmacoeconomic analysis “cost-effectiveness” and “cost minimization” of hormonal contraceptives and medicines for treatment of climacteric disorders in Ukraine has been grounded and worked out, the principle new informative providing about rational contraception for doctors and pharmacists has been worked out; results – the list of medicines for contraception and treatment of climacteric disorders of women with the optimum “cost-effectiveness ratio” has been determined, data of evidence-based medicine about these medicines has been systematized, the computer database about hormonal contraceptives for doctors and pharmacists has been developed and proposed; they are introduced into practical activity of main administrations of public health, pharmacies of the 9 regions in Ukraine, educational process of 7 high educational institutions in Ukraine, John Snow Institute of Researches and Trainings (Kyiv) for realization of the International project for the improvements of family planning and reproductive health in Ukraine on 2006 – 2010 „Together for health”; area – pharmacy.
