Essay

The thesis focuses on the integrated study of ethnographic group of Ukrainian people - lemky. The state of the study of the problem is analyzed in the work, a wide range of sources is used, some of which were introduced to the scientific treatment for the first time. The particularities of lemky's life in their ethnic lands are shown. The socio-economic lifestyle of the people of Lemkivshchina, their material and spiritual culture are described. The process of forced resettlement of Ukrainian population of Poland in the USSR and action "Visla" is examined. The difficult adjustment of lemky to new socio-economic conditions of live and cultural situation in the second half of the twentieth century is analyzed.
