Votintseva M. Lexicographic presentation of monosemantic words (based on the material of Russian language).

The object is dictionary articles of monosemantic words in an explanatory dictionary and encyclopaedia. The aims are the research and comparative description of the lexicographic processing of monosemantic words in an explanatory dictionary and encyclopaedia. The methods are descriptive, the quantitative and comparative analysis. The dissertation presents the analysis of monosemantic words from the point of view of their presentation in an explanatory dictionary and encyclopaedia. The definition of the monosemantic word is suggested. The quantitative analysis of monosemantic words in the explanatory dictionary and encyclopaedia is represented; the factors which consolidate the existence of monosemantic words are enumerated. The similar and distinctive features of the dictionary article structure are analyzed. The ideographical field of monosemantic words has been given. The application sphere is the training course.
