The dissertation is dedicated to research of the archive heritage of academician of the Ukrainian academy of sciences Mykola Fedotovych Bilyashivsky (1867-1926), analysis of his scientific and publicist legacy. Special attention is given to structure, contents and reconstruction of the archive heritage of the academician. On the basis of the archive materials and documents, the author tracks the scientist's contribution to the development of the questions of the historical and cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people, the development of the publishing business and publication of important historical sources.
