The dissertation deals with the investigation of the role of the famous scientist, agriculturist, teacher, political and state man, diplomat - K.A.Matsiyevitch (1873-1942).It was investigated on the background of the events of the latest Ukrainian history, and Ukrainian revolution of the 20-th years of the XX century. The process of the development of this man as the national faithful Ukrainian, organizer, the founder of the public agronomy, journalist and scientist was described. The meaning of his diplomatic and political activity in the 20-40 years of the XX century is characterized.
