The features of school education formation in the countries of Ukrainian settlement of were found out. It has affected on the variety of forms of the Ukrainian studies and education outside Ukraine: rates of the letter, high schools, native schools, kindergartens, rates of the Ukrainian studies, Saturday (Sunday) Ukrainian schools, items of studying of the Ukrainian language, etc. Lawful base of the modern Ukrainian state and practice of its realization concerning education of the Ukrainians abroad were considered.
