Cao Y. A study of epidemiology and molecular genetics of esophageal cancer in China

Research object: human heredity. Purpose: to study the inherited bases of esophageal cancer in the Chinese province Hebei. Research methods: epidemiology, population-genetic, genealogical, molecular-genetic, statistical analysis. Theoretical and practical results, novelty: Complex research of esophageal cancer in the population which is characterized by the greatest prevalence of this disease in a world is first conducted. The given work does completer the picture of variety of still human population. First were simultaneously explored genetic (deletion) and epigenetic (methylation) changes of the same gene - FHIT. It is shown in work, that at the rise of frequency of disease more predisposed floor mainly suffers - man. It is shown, that not only community of genes but also community of domestic environment is the factor of risk of origin of esophageal cancer, therefore to the group of risk on this disease the relatives of proband belong not only, but also the married couples and others that don't live together, namely, have not the same environment.
