Yegorova L. The image text: linguistic-pragmatic and linguistic-cultural aspects (on the materials of Russian speaking publicistics)

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the image text (IT) in Russian language. The research is performed via both distinguishing the main indications of the image text and the systematization the ways of the verbal representation of the image. The IT is examined as a bearer of the image information realized by means of the language. The study of the category of the image functioning in the communication process provides the exact structure of the author / reader linguistic personality in the image text. The integrative aspect of the IT research gives the possibility to connect the linguistic means interpretation with the cognitive activity of the text subjects. It is proved in the research that such categories as: IT structure, the style of the information to present, the very choice of it, and the language to communicate with an addressee, are determined by the social status, the peculiarities of the world pattern, both conceptual and linguistic.
