Sedlyar A. Socioeconomic activity of the institutions of local governing on the lands of Volyn and Podillya (years 1892 - 1918).

This dissertation considers socioeconomic activity of the institutions of local governing in the provinces of Volyn and Podillya during the years 1892 - 1918. On the base of study of sources and literature the principal lines of investigation of municipal institutions were discovered, different factors which had positive or negative influence on it were analyzed. Comparative characteristic of legislation which regulated the rights and duties of municipalities during this period was fulfilled. The influence of municipalities on the development municipal economy of the cities, their accomplishment and medical sphere was represented. Different directions of social help of the institutions of local governing to the people were observed. The role of municipality in formation of educational system in the cities of Volyn and Podillya, especially in formation of gumnasiums was showed. The influence of municipal institutions on the development of the cultural life in the cities of the provinces of Volyn and Podillya was determined.
