Dzagalov A. Ukrainian Cossacks and Peasants migration to Terek (1832-1904) .

The dissertation offers a special research of the process of Ukrainian Cossack, peasants and retired soldiers migration to the region of North Caucasus - territory of former Terska' region. The chronological frameworks cover the period of 1832-1904. It was exactly the time when the first military and agricultural settlements appeared - cossacks stanitsa, peasants' settings and khutors were inhabited by the migrants from Poltava, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Katerynoslavs'ka provinces of Russian Empire. The author reconstructs the process of migration of Ukrainians in the context of internal and foreign policy of Russia. On the base of comparison and analyses of the North Caucasus and Ukrainian archives' documents the migration of malorossian Cossack regiments in 1832 is described. Besides this the author also deals with state peasants and retired soldiers migration to Terek region.
