Holyk L. Environmental-geografic factors of variability of quantitative and qualitative traits of spring wheat plants and the development of winter wheat cultivars on this basis

Subject of research - the breeding process of common winter wheat and selection for adaptivity. The purpose - the determination of details of quantitative and qualitative trait variability of spring wheat under the influence of thermic and chemical mutagenesis for the development of winter wheat lines and varieties. The method are field, laboratory, mathematical and statistical. The value and novelty of researh - the expedience of the common spring whean variety use of different geografic origin and an influence of thermic mutagenous factor upon them for the development of winter wheat lines and varieties is proved; the parent material of mutant, hybrid-mutant forms for the further application in breeding process links is developed. The introduction - five winter wheat cultivars are developed, of them two ones are put down on the State Registry of Plant Varieties of Ukraine; 25 lines are studied in the competitive strain test.
