Korobjova R. Increase of technical means of railway junctions' operation effectiveness while processing of domestic car traffic volume

An object of the research is the processing of domestic traffic volumes in railway junctions. The purpose of the research is the reduction of operating costs connected with the processing of domestic traffic volumes in railway junctions on more efficient use of technical means of sorting yards and freight terminals. For the solution of posed problem the modern methods of research have been used: mathematical statistics, correlation and regression analysis, planning of factorial experiments, numerical methods of solution of differential equation, probability theory, finite automata theory, imitating modeling, dynamic programming. The model of shunting rolling stock movement and ergatic imitating model of railway stations functioning is developed for estimation of the influence of stations techniques and volumes of shunting service with domestic cars on their functioning parameters. The problem of improvement of shunting operation distribution with domestic cars in junctions is formalized and solved as a dynamic programming problem. Results of the work are implemented on Pridneprovsk railway, and have been used at designing of industrial sorting yard LLC "Metallurgical Plant "Dneprostal" and in academic activities on speciality 8.100403 "Organization of railway construction and Track Maintenance".
