Essay

Their pre-conditions, course and specific features are defined. The process of Bulgarian migration and principal reasons for their frequent visits to the Ukrainian lands are explored. Much attention is paid to the Bulgarian-Ukrainian cooperation in the sphere of literature and arts during the last quarter of the XІVth-the first half of the XVІth centuries. Spreading on the territory of the Rus'-Ukraine such Bulgarian achievements in book art as teratological, neo-Byzantine and braid techniques' ornamental styles, lombard initials, ligatures, miniatures and also these works of Bulgarian religious painting which contributed to the development of local icon-painting in the highest degree are described.
