Essay

The object of study – landlord farmsteads of Kharkiv province (the first half of 18th – early 20th centuries). The purpose of study is study of a history of occurrence of landlord farmsteads of Kharkiv province in view of features of the forms of sloboda landed property, social factors, which promoted allocation of the Cossack foreman in the closed nobiliary estate. The methods: historical-genetic, historical-typological, problem-chronological, comparative-historical, method of the structurally functional analysis. The practical value of the work: the materials of the dissertation can be used at the further study of landlord farmsteads of Slobozhanschina; at a spelling of generalizing works and manuals on study of historical local-lore; by preparation of a lecture material, drawing up of the programs of special courses on a history of Ukraine. The thesis is devoted to the research of the landlord class farmsteads of Kharkiv province of the first half of 18th – early 20th centuries. The ensembles of Slobozhanschina are explored in a complex survey. The conditions of settlement of Slobidska Ukraine's territory and rise of the estate property in this region are considered. The initial social composition of population and further changes which led to the originating of the landlord class from the Cossack environment are analyzed. The history of formation of early landlord farmsteads is studied, the components of an estate such as a garden, a park, a church, household buildings are considered. The development of gardening in the second half of the 18th century is characterized. The ensembles of Kharkiv province at that time are investigated. Landlord farmsteads are explored along with the stylistic changes in culture.
