Main forms and methods of the activity of cultural-enlightening institutions in the rural area during 1953-1964 were analyzed in the thesis, principles of rural libraries and cinema bodies' activity in the given period were shown. Positive and negative sides of rural education development in the middle of 1950s-the beginning of 1960s were found out. The changes which happened in the social-routine conditions of the rural population were studied: organization of repair shops system, building in the country, improvement of well-being of peasants.
