Kobelska О. Educational activity of women's organizations in Ukraine (the end of XIX – first half of XX century)

In the present scientific research the historical-pedagogical analysis of educational activity of women's organizations in Ukraine in late XIX – the first half of XX century was carried out. Based on the analysis of archival documents, periodicals, creative heritage of members of the women's movement, it has been studied the international experience of women's education. It has been marked out and described the main stages of formation and development of women's educational movement: cultural-educational (1884-1914), philanthropic (1914-1917), national (1917-1921), political (1921-1939), tutorial-educational (1939-1945). The author defined the ideological bases of the educational activity of the women's organizations in Ukraine, their contributin to the development of national education and disclosed the contents, forms, methods, tools of educational activity. The results of the present research will contribute to the development of gender education in Ukraine, as well as to solving the problems of family, national and humanistic education of the modern young generation.
