Essay

This work is devoted to development of the technology of knitting process and design of new patterns of crossed interlooping knitwear on flat-knitting machines. The classification of crossed interlooping knitwear is developed. There was developed the theory of crossed interlooping knitwear design. The work outlines the main groups of pattern effects and presents new structures of crossed interlooping knitwear. There was determined the mathematical relationship of loop structure parameters and physical-mechanic properties of crossed interlooping knitwear based on the rib structure, double half-cardigan and full cardigan structure depending on the quantity of needle bank shifts, stitch cam and linear density of the yarn. We have made the conclusion that the quantity of needle bank shifts is an important technological parameter.
