Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the peculiarities of the evolution of poetical pseudo-identity tropes as carriers of ancient mythological meaning, and the transformations they undergo within the framework of the contemporary poetic model of the world. The major evolution stages of pseudo-identity tropes in Russian folklore texts and stylistically rele-vant Russian folklore imitations of the 17th-20th centuries are defined. Among the elements of the trope pseudo-identity axis ('pseudoidentity', 'similarity', analogy', 'association'), the ones dominant for folklore texts and the folklore stylization genres are singled out. The role of mythopoetical meanings in fusing the link between structural parts of tropes of various kinds is ascertained. The reasons behind the disintegration of the primary meta-phoric identity patterns and the transition from unified, symbol-based patterns of trope formation to those based on strict subject-object relations are determined. The conditions for trope formalization and unification from the standpoint of key macro- and microcosmic sacral situations are described within the framework of both the folklore and the modern poetic world models.
