Essay

The integral analysis of pedagogical ideas and educational activity of Vasyl Lutsiv is carried out in dissertation. The basic landmarks of life and factors of becoming of V. Lutsiv are reflected as an educational and public figure, journalist, editor, publisher, literary critic. The pedagogical inheritance of teacher is analysed, his contribution to development of Ukrainian national community is analysed, the leading ideas of alteration of the Ukrainian national system of education are described. Certainly basic directions of pedagogical activity of V. Luciv: of educational, methodical, siencifical; his looks are exposed to family education, role of the mother tongue in development and education of child. The literary inheritance of prosvityanina is analysed from point of its pedagogical orientayion.
