Dissertation research is devoted to the insufficiently known problem of economic, public, political and cultural activity of noblemen and squires of Volin' at the end of ХІХ-beginning of XX centuries. It is first in Ukrainian historiography that the integral socio-economic portrait of nobility-squire layer of Volin' is created in this work by means of introduction considerable complex of the new archived sources to the scientific appeal.
