The objects are the fragments of language world picture with an integral semantic component 'person' as the subsystem of a nominative units system in the modern Russian language. The aim is the application of the functional approach to the ideographic description of lexicon on a based of a fragments of language world picture, represented by a nominative units with an integral semantic component 'person'. The methods are complete sampling, analysis of dictionary explanations, component analysis, distributive analysis, "the conveyor of a free rhythm", statistical. Functionalism is one of intensively developed scientific approach in modern linguistics, the description of how language structure is determined by carrying out the social-valuable part (the influence on consciousness of a recipient) becomes the main task of functional investigations. The functional ideography as a descriptive method of vocabulary dictates modeling a valuable-organized notional zones of language world picture and ascertaining nominative units (simple and composite types) which are explicators of included in zone composition semantemes (language notions). The investigation carries out which semantemes are on the same hierarchy level as a semanteme 'person' and are the central ones for another fragments of world picture. Based on Russian lexical group 'mediator' it is demonstrated how could be described a micro-system of language world picture in lexicography aspect compiling the basic active thesaurus. Application sphere are training courses and compiling of the thesauruses.
