Essay

Subject: interactions between sexual types in the populations of modern cultivars of monoecious hemp. Aim: to determine and substantiate selection-genetical bases of monoecious trait stability in modern hemp cultivars. Methods: general scientific, field, laboratory, mathematical statistics. Novelty: the peculiarities of sex inheritance in the crossing of a monoecious female (pistillate flower) and different sexual types, instability of monoeciosity by early and late-ripening stamen flowers; peculiarities of flowering in sexual types of modern hemp cultivars and its effect on sex manifestation have been established, the effectiveness of material-film isolators during the creation of initial material has been proved. Results: the hybrids with a high productivity and stability of monoeciosity a number of the cultivars for application in different ways for the stabilization of monoeciosity have been detected; a method for testing the monoecious hemp cultivars for the trait stability has been developed. Application stage: the recommendations for selection work on the improvement of methods for stabilization of hemp monoeciosity have been worked out and included into breeding, and these hybrids and cultivars are suggested for the use in breeding work. Application area: breeding institutions, AIC of Ukraine.
