The research focuses upon the problem of military industrial committees' history of Ukrainian provinces of Russian Empire during the First World War. A complex study of scientific literature and historical sources allowed to define the causes and pre-conditions of Ukrainian committees formation. Policy documents, organizational-legal status, competence, social structure, sources of financing, main trends and forms of committee's activity are analyzed in the dissertation. Special attention is paid to committees' collaboration with the local technical forces and S. Vankov's military industrial group. The position of military industrial committees during Russian revolution in 1917 is investigated.
