Essay

The dissertation makes a complex analysis of formation, organization and main areas of activity of Polish state police in Western Volhyn in 1919-1926. The process of forming and organization of police is explored. The police operation towards the maintenance of public order and security is retraced. Attention is paid to the establishment police's role in social and political life of the region. Police units' participation in the protection of Volhyn sector eastern border is investigated.
