Kravcheko O. Pedagogical, scientific and elucidative activity of Panteleymon Kulish (1819–1897)

In the dissertation the integral research of pedagogical, scientific and elucidative activity of Panteleymon Oleksandrovych Kulish as a teacher, an enlightener, an editor, a publisher, a scientist and an active public man is carried out.Basic factors which influenced on the forming of his world outlook are described and analyzed; 5 periods of his pedagogical and elucidative activity are investigated: initial, transitional, the period of his intensive work, transformational period, the period of his creative seclusion.The content and the direction of pedagogical, scientific and elucidative activity of P. Kulish are exposed; general pedagogical ideas are given; an educational and an elucidative character of the teacher’s literary heritage is described; the content of the textbooks written by P. Kulish is analyzed.Non-popular historical and pedagogical documents, giving more complete description of P. Kulish’s personality as a teacher, an enlightener, a public man are inculcated into the scientific usage. The basic results of the research can be used in the teaching of history of pedagogics at the level of writing modern textbooks and in subsequent scientific, historical and pedagogical researches.
