Essay

Four main linguistic components of the manipulative influence in the mass-media political discourse are distinguished. These are the using of the comic, fear imposing, the using of the quantity and presenting rumours in mass-media. The interaction of expressive means and clichйs, the nomination, metaphority of mass-media reports, the implied information, the using of bilingualism of the intended recipient (Ukrainian language insertions) are the main linguistic means of the manipulative influence.
