Skomorovska I. Pedagogical basis in library work with pupils in West Ukraine (1919-1939).

In the dissertation pedagogical basis in library work with pupils in West Ukraine from 1919 till 1939 are discovered. The state of research of this problem is analysed in historical and pedagogical literature; the notion "library" is examined from the beginning of its appearing; the "library work" is made clear. Social-political and social-economical grounds of the library movement are ascertained; legal and normative basis of library work between war times are analysed. Cultural and educational roles which the most important part in widening of library influence of such communities as "Prosvita", "Ridna shkola", "Plast" in West Ukraine were studied. Importance of native literature on brining up pupils in 20-30 of XXth is clarified. Demands to the plot and design of books are established; forms and methods of organization in library work with pupils during lessons and after them are shown. Perspectives of creative using of experience in activity of work with pupils from 1919 till 1939 in modern Ukraine are traced.
