Bryl L. Technical intelligentsia of Ukraine in the years of the German-Soviet war of 1941 - 1945.

In the dissertation on the basis of modern methodological approaches, analysis of the archive materials and published sources the social position and the position of the technical intelligentsia are analysed in the terms of the German - Soviet war of 1941 - 1945 with its mutual relations both with the soviet power and with the German one. The basic directions of the professional activities of the technical intelligentsia are shown at the beginning of the war, in the period of the occupation and its role in the victory over the enemy. The contribution of the engineers and technicians is shown in the strengthening of the military efficiency of the armed forces and the linksof of the rear with the front line. The conclusion is that the productive work of the technical intelligentsia was attained by not only the mobilization and repressive measures of the state bodies but also by the patriotic mood of satisfying the needs of the frontline giving to the army the necessary number of the newest military equipment and arms. The material pofition of the technical intelligentsia, the role of the state and economic bidies in providing food and ather commodities, housing and basic living conditions.
