Romantsov O. Institution of military governors in the system of russian territorial government of Rightbank Ukraine (end of 18 - first third of 19 century).

Institution of military governors is one of the less researched constituent of administrative-territorial system in Russian empire. This appointment existed near 70 years from the moment of its establishing. Study of military governers' activity on the territory of Rightbank Ukraine allows to understand better not only their place and role in development of this region, but to follow the evolution of this institution. Using a great corpus of archival documents from kyiven and khmelnickiy archival depositories allows examining thoroughly those problems and assignments, which appeared with the beginning of the work with dissertation. Introducing the legislative documents of Russian empire allows the possibility to understand those changes, which Russian government was trying to cause against the institution of military governors.
