Krivoshieva L. National and educational activity of the Union for the Liberation of Ukraine among the Ukrainians prisoners of war camps (1914-1918)

The object of research is the historical and cultural processes of national liberation content in midst of ukrainian political immigration during the First World War. The aim of research: to define a place and a role of Union for the Liberation of Ukraine (ULU) in national and instructive work development system at the ukrainian prison camps on the territory of Austria-Hungary and Germany during the First World War. The subjec of research: the ULU activity as one of links of the Ukrainian national movement, its cultural and educational, national and nurturant work among the Ukrainian prisoners of war, the Russian army soldiers at the Austria-Hungary and Germany camps. The methods of research: аnalitico, historiko-tipologico, problem-chronological. The results of research and novelty: it established that the work at the camps was conducted in educational, economic, cultural and political direction. We have the information and publishing analysis, bibliographical and publicity activity of the ULU. Complex test of the ways of decision the linguistic and religious problems in the multinational surrounding, in which except the ukranians cultural and instructive society arise the jewish and russian one. The difficult formation processes of the community "Prosvita", camp's periodicals, chorus', orchestra's, theatre's, painting school's and decorative applied art's are investigated. The sphere of usage: the further research of the current subject, writing of the synthesis works, manuals, reading of the high school courses on the history of Ukraine.
