Essay

The lifetime of the famous Ukrainian co-operator and public man Y.Voloshynovsky, his role and place in the introduction and formation of consumers' co-operative societies on Podillya were investigated in this work on the bases of archives documents, memoirs, periodical materials, native historiography in the context of Ukrainian national revival. His co-operative, educational activity in Ukraine, his role in the struggle for co-operative ideals and his participation in the national liberation movement of Ukrainian people (1917-1921) are reproduced there. The full rehabilitation of Y.Voloshynovsky for future generations is determined there.
