Essay

The dissertation is concerned with military mobilizations carried out by the Red Army in newly liberated territories in Left Bank Ukraine. The author has analyzed a general regulatory framework on military mobilizations and conscription which was used in the USSR in the first period of the Soviet-German war and in 1943. Mobilization practices and measures implemented by field forces and local military authorities have also been studied and characterized.
