Essay

The dissertation centers on the complex investigation of the All-Russian Peasant Union activity in Ukraine in 1905-1907. On the basis of in-depth analysis, wide range of sources and scientific literature the author defined the following: socio-economic and political preconditions of the union creation, its ideology and programme, ethnosocial membership of its brunches. Its practical activity is also studied. It is proved that the All-Russian Peasant Union was one of the most important participants of Ukrainian political life and in its turn demonstrated the political maturity of the peasants and their intentions to influence the country's development, agricultural development in particular.
