The dissertation is devoted to researching the problems of the Famine of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. For the first time according to the materials of the Podillia region it was proved that the Famine was genocide of the Ukrainian peasantry. It was caused by permanent resistance of the peasants to the bilshoviks in the village. Opposing the peasants the authorities used a system of repressive technologies in 1927-1933, such as: the financial requisition (the requisition of money and property), collectivization (taking away the land and the means of production), mass dispossession (the confiscation of the whole property and the eviction of families), total withdrawal of food supplies. The destruction of agriculture occurred in combination with fiscal and food requisitions which affected self-employed farmers as well as members of collective farms, which caused the Famine. Withdrawal of all the crop funds and the introduction of passport mode led to the starvation and death of numerous peasants' families.
