Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the examination of clinical and metabolic disorders in the organisms of sows during the period of deep pregnancy, their influence on the appearance of indigestion in piglets and developing methods for prevention and treatment of these pathologies with the use of complex mineral and probiotic preparations. It was established that the deficiency of Calcium, Phosphorus, Ferro, Copper, Zinc, Cobalt, Manganese and Iodine in the diet causes violations of the clinical, morphological and immunological parameters of blood, metabolic processes and functional conditions of liver of pregnant sows that revealed metabolic disturbances (osteodystrophia, anemia, ketosis, etc.), erythrocytosis, neutrophilia, hypocalcaemia, violation of calcium : phosphorus ratio, increased activity of aspartate and alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, low indices of cellular and humoral defense. Complex mineral preparation Suimin-P, which is composed of organic compounds of biogenic macro- and microelements, normalizes clinical status of animals, processes of hemopoiesis, metabolism of proteins, mineral metabolism and indices of nonspecific immunity in the organisms of pregnant sows. Application of preparation Suimin-P to these animals was manifested by higher fertility rates, higher weight of neonatal piglets and lower rates of morbidity and mortality. Complex mineral preparations Iodion-1 and Iodion-2 that consist of organic compounds of biogenic macro- and microelements in combination with the use of probiotics Vetom normalize the clinical status of the organism, hemopoiesis, biochemical and immunologic parameters of blood in newborn piglets with dyspepsia and weaned piglets with gastroenteritis. The use of these preparations significantly reduces the time of animals' treatment and provides a high percentage of their safety.
