Essay

There is the complex research of the problematic aspects and ethical and aesthetical peculiarities of writer's publicism of famous Ukrainian author B. Oliynyk in this manuscript. It is investigated the publicist's method of reflecting reality, the ethical concepts and art images, the communicative and stylistic mechanisms of influence of B. Oliynyk's articles on public opinion. Using the principles of system analysis (represented in woks of H. Klochek) and biographical, comparative and historical analysis B. Oliynyk's publicism discovered as integrated ethical and aesthetical phenomenon in Ukrainian journalism. It is analyzed the problematic aspects (social, political, historical etc), discovered the main concepts (Ukraine, person, peace, sovereignty etc), characterized the individual author's style and communicative peculiarities of B. Oliynyk's publicism. It is found out that metaphor is the main polemic unit which has imperative, informative and aesthetical functions in writer's publicism, represents publicist's intention and creates communicative space and exchange between author and recipient.
