Essay

This thesis deals with the problem of training social and pedagogical specialists in higher educational establishments of Ukraine for preventing drug addiction among senior pupils. Specifically, the conceptual approaches to professional education of social workers have been analyzed. The thesis has also described the content and specific features of the process of training specialists for preventive work, considering social and pedagogical peculiarities of senior pupils as well the technological issues of working with them. The author defined essences, components and criteria of professional qualification for preventing drug addiction among under-age pupils, and also examined students' professional standard. Hence, the model and organizational and pedagogical conditions of training the future social workers for preventive activity has been substantiate and implemented in higher school
