Object - professional preparation of managers of education. Purpose - theoretically ground and evaluate an experimental model of preparation of future managers of education for professional activity under the conditions of innovatory surrounding. Theoretical results and novelty - at first the essence and structure of notion of "readiness of managers of education for professional activity under the conditions of innovatory surrounding" are defined; criteria and figures are defined, levels of readiness of future managers of education for professional activity under the conditions of innovatory surrounding are described. Practical results and novelty are connected with ability of using its main theoretical materials in teachers' practice, at writing down the programs and methodical editions for candidates for a master's degree of post-graduate faculties of higher educational institutions, and also in process of professional preparation, retraining and further training of managers of education. Object and degree of introduction - special courses of study "Professional activity of managers of education under the conditions of innovatory surrounding", "Management of social and pedagogical projects", "Technology of managerial activity" are developed.
