Rafalska T. "The Grand Terror" in Zhytomyr region (July 1937 - November 1938)

The Paper provides complex analysis of terror policy of Stalin regime in Zhytomyr region in years 1937 - 1938 on the grounds of out-of-the-way or not known archive files and published documents. It also approves the social and political development of the region before "the Grand Terror" time and creating the mechanisms for fulfilling it. We researched the specifics, intensity and technology of repression, their regional peculiarities. We defined the main reasons, particulars and stages of the terror launched by the authorities against the variety of classes of people in Zhytomyr region, we observed the connection of regional repression and the repression in the Soviet Union in general. We showed the role and place of exact executors of the repression policy in Zhytomyr region.
