Essay

The object of the investigation is determining selective value of soft winter wheat sorts and peculiarities of recombination process during their hybridization. The aim of the investigation is determining selective value of soft winter wheat sortotypes of different ecological and geographical origin, establishing criteria of selecting genotypes with high level farming valuable characteristics manifestation. Methods – field, laboratory, mathematically-statistical. Novelty – selective value of architectonics signs of plants and their role in forming productivity of winter wheat genotypes in the forest-steppe Left Bank Ukraine is established for the first time. Investigation results are introduced in the selection process in Plant Production Institute named after V.Y.Yuryev., Scientifically-Research Agronomy Institute of Poltava State Agrarian Academy, Veselopodilska experimentally-selection station of Sugar Beet Institute UAAS. Results: new selective indices application of which substantially increases selective process are improved. Options of the sortotypes on the basis of which the new model of wheat sort for the forest-steppe Ukraine is developed are improved. On the basis of established regularities of manifestation and changeability of farming valuable characteristics, the peculiarities of their correlation interdependence and inheritance sortotypes in other words sources of valuable characteristics for introducing in selection process are singled out. Valuable source material for selecting soft winter wheat for improving grain productivity and quality is developed. Sphere of use – Agriculture.
