Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of social and economical state of Chernihiv region in the system of the Russian empire in the first half of the 19th century. The principles and the aim of the research defined the use of the wide range of historical and first of all archives materials in the scientific circulation. The article gives the analysis of the amount, settling, social and legal state of the population in Chernihiv province at the beginning of the 19th century, incorporation of the region into the all - Russian industrial and trade system, changes in towns status and land use, the development of the capitalist system in industry and trade.
